Can you believe we are finally starting to get warmer weather? I was starting to think it would never get here! As we all continue to get ourselves ready for the summer season, I thought I would share the following 6 bits of advice using the acronym S.P.R.I.N.G…
START Early: If you know that losing weight will make you feel more comfortable in more revealing fashions, including your bathing suit, make the TBIT-15 workouts, weight loss challenges and fit challenges a priority.
PLAN Your Results: Remember that a healthy rate of weight loss is no more than two pounds per week (in an effort to keep it off!). So if you’re expecting to drop 40 pounds in a month, you will be disappointed. Use a realistic weight-loss goal to set yourself up for success. Identifying your goal will help you achieve your it and the SR Fit Tribe can motivate you to keep making progress along the way.
RENOVATE Your Recipes: Keep the foods you love by simply substituting unsweetened applesauce for a third of the oil or butter in your sweet tooth recipes; the end result will taste just as good without the extra calories and fat. You don’t have to give up your favorite recipes, just find little ways to make them healthier when you DO decide to indulge.
IDENTIFY Your Best Fit: Go with the SR Fit challenges and programs that work best for your lifestyle. Remember to reach out to your On-Call Fit Coach for any substitutions or workout modifications.
NAVIGATE your Neighborhood: If you don’t already walk, add a daily walk into your routine. Walking is one of the few activities that can be done anytime, anywhere. When the weather is nice, it’s so enjoyable to be outside and is a great way to walk off dinner.
GAUGE Your Commitment: A lot of people agree they would look better in their swimsuit if they could just drop a few pounds. If you really want to make it happen, you can do it with a little self-dedication and support from your Tribe!
